About Cammi Priode

LPC/MHSP, EMDR Certified

My Story

Cammi, the founder of Alongside Healing, has been working alongside people for nearly 10 years, assisting them as they process life’s peaks and valleys. While born and mostly raised in the north, her educational pursuits are what kept drawing her south. In 2005 she received her Bachelors at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. After several therapeutic career opportunities, the south came calling yet again, and Cammi and her husband moved to Nashville, TN to complete her masters. In December 2015, she was awarded a Masters of Arts from Trevecca Nazarene University in Mental Health Counseling.

Cammi holds strong to the belief that every person is capable of transformation and healing if they are courageous and honest. To honor her clients’ courage and honesty, she utilizes a wide range of treatment approaches including: experiential therapy, cognitive behavior therapy and tools (CBT), and strengths-based model. She has experience working with women’s issues, adult adoptees, mental health problems, co-occurring disorders, trauma survivors, addiction, and relationship issues.

Outside of the therapy office, Cammi loves spending time with her husband, son, and dog. She is passionate about cooking/baking, finding deals while shopping, and spending time at the beach.

Cammi’s thoughtful attention to the client offers a compassionate & authentic presence that is distinctly felt in the room. With her relational approach in the therapeutic process, she plays an interactive role in walking with clients through their pain as well as drawing them closer to moments of new-found or rediscovered joy.
